Our Guiding Philosophy
This program is built on a foundation of modern, evidence-based, and compassionate approaches. We are committed to providing a flexible, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental space where you are in control of your journey.
Harm Reduction
We meet you where you are. Any positive change, big or small, is a success. This program supports your goals, whether moderation or abstinence.
Learner Autonomy
You are in control. This program provides tools, not rules. You decide what works for you, which goals to set, and how long to participate.
Participation, Not Performance
We recognize progress in multiple ways. Your engagement and willingness to explore are what count. There are no penalties, only learning.
Trauma-Informed
We are committed to a space built on safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. All activities are invitational.
The Hybrid Learning Journey
This program blends a high-tech, AI-powered online hub with a high-touch, human-led community workshop. You get 24/7 access to private tools and a safe, in-person space to practice and connect.
1. The Online Hub (24/7 Access)
Your "home base" and resource toolkit. It's not a linear course you "pass" or "fail." It’s a dynamic space to practice skills privately, get instant, non-judgmental feedback, and explore the 4-Point program at your own pace.
2. The Weekly Workshop (Flexible)
Your "practice arena." Attend the 1-day-a-week workshop for a duration that feels right for you (6, 12, 18, or 24 weeks). This is where you connect with community, practice skills, and build your support network.
The Online Hub: The 4-Point Program
Your Online Hub is structured around the four core points of SMART Recovery. You can explore these modules in any order, at any time, to find the tools you need, when you need them.
Helping you identify your *own* reasons for making a change, based on what you value.
- Topics: Harm reduction goals (moderation/abstinence), identifying personal values, setting self-managed goals.
- AI-Powered Tool: Interactive, private Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) worksheet to explore the pros and cons of your behavior vs. change.
- Human Support: Facilitator leads in-person group discussions on motivation and goals.
Providing practical, in-the-moment tools to manage, reduce, or tolerate urges and cravings.
- Topics: Understanding triggers, "Urge Surfing" (mindfulness), and the "DEADS" toolkit (Delay, Escape, Avoid, Distract, Substitute).
- AI-Powered Tool: A private "Urge Log" to track patterns. The AI can provide a simple summary of your self-reported data (e.g., "70% of logged urges occur on weekends").
- Human Support: Role-playing "Escape" or "Avoid" scenarios in the in-person workshop.
Using practical skills to manage emotional distress and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns.
- Topics: The "ABC" Model (Activating Event, Belief, Consequence), identifying "Thinking Traps," emotional regulation, and self-care.
- AI-Powered Tool: A private "ABC" worksheet. The AI can offer non-judgmental prompts (e.g., "Is there another possible 'Belief' about that event?").
- Human Support: Facilitator walks through complex "ABC" examples with the group, providing empathy and validation.
Moving from "recovery" to "living" by finding meaningful, fulfilling, and healthy activities and connections.
- Topics: Building/repairing relationships, finding hobbies, managing time, and building a support network.
- AI-Powered Tool: An interactive "Balanced Life Wheel" to self-assess your satisfaction in different life areas (Social, Work, Health, Fun).
- Human Support: The in-person workshop *is* the primary tool, providing a safe community to build your new support network in real-time.
The Weekly In-Person Workshop
This is your "practice arena." The 1-day-a-week workshop is 100% human-led, community-focused, and built on 7 core values. The agenda is recurring, so you can join at any time and get value, whether it's your first week or your 20th.
1. Community-Led & Cultural Safety
Facilitated by trained local leaders who understand your community.
2. Practical Skill Application
Zero theory. All activities are hands-on, practicing the SMART tools.
3. Strengthening Social Connection
Every activity is designed to help you build your support network.
4. Trauma-Informed Approach
We create a safe space built on choice, collaboration, and trust. All activities are invitational.
5. Accessible Language (No Jargon)
We speak in plain, clear language. All complex terms are explained.
6. Clear Referral Pathways
We provide clear, "no-wrong-door" guidance on local resources for other services.
7. Emphasis on Empathy + Boundaries
We practice how to be an empathetic supporter for peers while also maintaining our own well-being.
Sample Weekly Agenda (Recurring)
- Part 1: Welcome & Check-In. (Setting a safe, trauma-informed space. "Share a win or challenge, if you wish.")
- Part 2: Community Problem-Solving. (Participants "workshop" a real-life challenge with the group, applying SMART tools collaboratively.)
- Part 3: Skill-Building in Action. (Facilitator leads a hands-on activity, e.g., role-playing boundaries or mapping triggers.)
- Part 4: Check-Out & Goal Setting. ("What's one small, achievable goal for this week?" Progress is measured by your own goals.)
The Hybrid Model in Action
Our program works by intelligently dividing tasks. AI handles the routine, data-driven work, freeing up our expert human facilitators to focus on what matters most: mentorship, group safety, and empathy. This creates a more efficient, scalable, and personalized program for everyone.
This chart illustrates how workload is distributed for key training activities. Notice how AI handles most of the routine feedback and Q&A, while humans are 100% focused on complex, high-touch activities like strategic mentorship and in-person facilitation.
